After 8 months of accelerated construction work, in the morning of 20 April 2018, the Organizer of "Rural Bridge" program initiated by Vietnam Rural Magazine held the inauguration ceremony for 14 local bridges at Thanh Hoa District, Long An Province, including 5 (Ranh Canal Bridge, Than Bun Canal bridge, Canal 3 Bridge, Canal 1B Bridge...) sponsored by Dong Tam Group and Truong Hai Auto.
Attendees of the inauguration ceremony included former State President Truong Tan Sang, Mr. Pham Van Ranh - Secretary of Long An Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang - Representative of General Council of Agriculture and Rural Development, representative leaders of local authorities at Thanh Hoa District, Sponsors and many local residents.

Addressing the ceremony, the former State President Truong Tan Sang emphasized: "The inauguration and operation of local bridges at Thanh Hoa District are of great significance because these works will facilitate travel, trade and goods transportation, thereby contributing to improvement of material and spiritual life of farmers, bringing profound changes to rural, remote and extremely difficult areas.”
Mr. Truong Tan Sang expected the sponsors to keep supporting the program in the future so that rural people and students can safely travel on more new bridges.
After more than a year in partnership with the "Rural Bridge Construction" program jointly initiated by the former State President Truong Tan Sang and General Council of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Dong Tam Group has inaugurated nearly 10 bridges worth over ten VND billion to date.
Speaking to us, Mr. Vo Quoc Thang - Chairman of Dong Tam Group, said: "For almost 50 years, Dong Tam Group has made best efforts in production and promoting the culture of sharing with the community and society. In Long An Province alone, Dong Tam Group has carried out tens of programs to support underprivileged children such as giving gifts, building charitable houses, or donating thousands of scholarships to pupils and students in the region. Since 2017, Dong Tam Group has decided to sponsor the Rural Bridge Program, as this is a very meaningful program, bringing joy to local people and contributing to social security."
