Greening is not merely adding another color to the product palette but restructuring the entire value chain of products and services – from production to operation – aimed at minimizing negative environmental impacts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Long An International Port enhances its operational efficiency by prioritizing the use of renewable energy, saving resources, optimizing operational processes, minimizing waste and emissions, and applying advanced technology to increase automation. The port installs solar panel systems with a capacity of over 10 MW and uses energy-saving LED lights and solar lights.<\/span><\/p>\n

By applying advanced scientific techniques and modern information technology, the port accelerates the automation and digitization of management and operations, improving efficiency, optimizing processes, and enhancing competitiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n

The port applies advanced technologies like CATOS and MOST, operates a fleet of tractor units meeting Euro 5 emission standards, uses 100% electric cranes, and is researching the use of electrically or battery-operated equipment, aiming for shore power utilization by 2030. It also prevents air pollution by controlling vehicle access in operational areas to meet emission standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

To prepare for becoming a Green Port, the port regularly organizes training and awareness programs for employees on environmental protection and resource conservation. The Long An International Port\u2019s container bus project also aims for green and sustainable development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Long An International Port: \u201cRun beyond the finish line\u201d Spreading Green Values and Sustainable Development<\/b><\/p>\n

The Long An Half Marathon 2024, held on August 24, 2024, at Long An International Port, embodies the spirit of green construction. This race is significant for Dong Tam Group, Long An International Port, and the people of Long An. The port plays a crucial role in the global economic chain, particularly in logistics and supply chains. It serves not only as a hub for international cargo handling but also as a center for transportation and distribution. From here, goods from the Mekong Delta region are transported to countries around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

By participating in the race, runners become ambassadors of a green lifestyle, contributing to the GreenUP Marathon\u2019s tree planting fund, supporting the Vietnamese initiative to plant trees and green the country as per the Prime Minister’s project. This effort increases green spaces in public areas, improves air quality, and helps mitigate and respond to climate change phenomena such as desertification, salinization, and soil erosion, which are increasingly prevalent in the Mekong Delta.
