{"id":14530,"date":"2020-10-28T23:49:32","date_gmt":"2020-10-28T16:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dongtam.mywebico.com\/?p=14530"},"modified":"2020-10-28T23:49:32","modified_gmt":"2020-10-28T16:49:32","slug":"hanoi-district-to-resettle-street-vendors-in-local-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dongtam.com.vn\/en\/hanoi-district-to-resettle-street-vendors-in-local-market\/","title":{"rendered":"Hanoi district to resettle street vendors in local market"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\">\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Hanoi district to resettle street vendors in local market\" src=\"https:\/\/dongtam.com.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/nha-toa.jpg\" style=\"width: 500px;height: 295px\" title=\"nha-toa\"><\/p>\n<p> Authorities in Hanoi will reserve a part of the Thanh Xuan Bac Market in Thanh Xuan District for those street vendors who have been forced off the sidewalks in ongoing campaigns to restore order on the streets.<\/p>\n<p> The vendors would have the first three months free from rent for market space, according to a recent directive from the Thanh Xuan administration.<\/p>\n<p> According to Nguyen Xuan Luu, chairman of the Thanh Xuan People\u2019s Committee, up to 70 percent of households in the district have voluntarily reorganized their business and removed items that previously occupied the capital\u2019s sidewalks following the call of local authorities.<\/p>\n<p> To assist street vendors in need of a location to carry on with their business, the district\u2019s administration has asked its Economic Division to work with managers of the Thanh Xuan Bac Market to come up with a \u2018resettlement\u2019 plan for the vendors.<\/p>\n<p> Accordingly, kiosks inside the market measuring between three and four meters in width will be reserved for those who wish to find a permanent space for business.<\/p>\n<p> The first three months\u2019 rent for the kiosks will be waived, Thanh Xuan officials said.<\/p>\n<p> Those who want to continue \u2018street vending\u2019 or cannot afford to pay the rent for a kiosk will be allowed to sell in the market\u2019s front yard.<\/p>\n<p> If the market runs out of space, vendors will be permitted to sell their wares on the 200-square-meter first floor of the district\u2019s Center for Commercial Services, which is next to the market.<\/p>\n<p> <em><strong>Source\u00a0tuoitrenews.vn<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities in Hanoi will reserve a part of the Thanh Xuan Bac Market in Thanh Xuan District for those street vendors who have been forced off the sidewalks in ongoing campaigns to restore order on the streets.
