Gasoline retail prices in Vietnam increased for the first time this year in Vietnam following four consecutive cuts.

The common fuel grade RON 92 now sells at VND14,420 (65 US cents) a liter, up nearly 5 percent, while its greener version E5, a biofuel, at VND13,890 a liter.

Diesel price goes up 3 percent to VND9,870 a liter.

Retailers said gasoline and diesel prices from Singapore, Vietnam’s major fuel import market, increased around 15 percent the past two weeks.

Gas prices in Vietnam dropped continuously this year to the seven-year low on February 18.
