The 8th National Congress of (8th) VFFCC took place in the atmosphere of open, straightforward discussion and filled with a high sense of responsibility, democracy and solidarity. The National Congress voted Mr. Hau A Lenh, Member of Party Central Committee as Member of VFFCC, Presidium, Permanent Board and Vice Chairman – General Secretary of the 8th VFFCC for 2014 – 2019 tenure.
As a political alliance, voluntary federation, political base of people’s power; representing and protecting legitimate rights and interests of the people, Vice Chairman-General Secretary Hau A Lenh said that the Vietnam Fatherland Front was a place to gather and unite all classes of people, speak the voice of people, closely follow the people, support their initiatives, work as a meeting point of brains of the people, intellectuals, businessmen, religious dignitaries, reputable people from ethnic minority and overseas Vietnamese … creating a consensus, cooperation and synergy for sustainable development of the country.
Also at the National Congress, VFFCC presented Certificates of Merits and “For the Cause of Great National Solidarity” memorial crystals to a number of typical individuals with outstanding exchievements, including Mr. Vo Quoc Thanh – Chairman of Dong Tam Group, for their contributions to the cause of Great National Solidarity.
