The results were officially announced on the night of November 17, 2025 to ports and logistics enterprises around the world. Winning the top prize in this category highlights how a newly established seaport from Vietnam has placed strong strategic emphasis on comprehensive human resource development while investing in a large scale port that is significant for both the locality and Southern Vietnam. This was also the first time a Vietnamese enterprise has been recognized in this category, marking a breakthrough step for Long An International Port in its journey to spread the positive values of Vietnamese culture, society, and economy, while helping promote Vietnam and its people to international friends. Through this achievement, Long An International Port once again affirms the position of a Vietnamese brand on the global logistics map.

Demonstrating operational capability through a people development strategy

Throughout its formation and growth, the Port has built a long-term human resource strategy that prioritizes continuous training, skill development, and management capability improvement. It also focuses on comprehensive employee welfare, encourages innovation, and creates a dynamic, modern workplace. These efforts have helped enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality, maximize port performance, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality and the region.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Vo Quoc Huy said:
“We are proud to be called on stage in front of organizations, businesses, and colleagues from all over the world. We want our international friends to know that Vietnamese enterprises are always striving to stand alongside others and reach new heights. For us, people are our most valuable asset and the foundation of every success. Building a people-centered working environment is the key that helps us go further and spread positive value to the community. I would also like to thank and recognize the dedication and determination of all employees of Long An International Port throughout this journey. Today, as we are here proudly wearing the Vietnamese áo dài, we hope to promote Vietnam’s culture, people, and the brand of a Vietnamese seaport to international friends.”

Partnering with Tay Ninh in a comprehensive development vision

After the administrative merger, the new Tay Ninh Province holds many outstanding advantages, including a strong portfolio of industrial parks, industrial clusters, and key economic zones with large clean land reserves, completed infrastructure, and competitive incentive policies. The province also guides cooperation to improve human resource quality aligned with business needs, especially in logistics, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, green production models, smart urban development, and integrated supply chains. Tay Ninh is actively identifying and seizing opportunities for training cooperation, skill transfer, and high-quality workforce development to serve key industries in this new phase. Many labor, investment, and trade promotion activities are being emphasized, showing the province’s commitment to supporting investors, expanding partner networks, and building practical connections with localities, corporations, and business organizations abroad, with the expectation of attracting strategic investment flows in the next development stage.

On that foundation, Dongtam Group and Long An International Port are working closely with the province to implement a long-term, sustainable human resource development strategy. The focus is on training, upgrading professional skills, and deeper specialization by sector; creating opportunities for local workers to study, gain experience, find jobs, and grow personally, thereby improving awareness, income, and quality of life; and promoting innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development. This helps open new growth space, create stable employment, and strengthen the workforce so it can adapt to global trends of automation and deeper integration across industries.

Mr. Vo Quoc Huy emphasized:
“The development of Long An International Port has created and continues to create positive ripple effects, encouraging and promoting cooperation among local authorities, businesses, and educational institutions, helping to shape an early, sustainable logistics ecosystem in Tay Ninh.”

Vietnam aims to become a modern industrial, high-income country by 2030, with a longer-term vision toward 2045–2050. In particular, Vietnam’s logistics service development strategy for 2025–2035 with a vision to 2050 sets a target that 90% of logistics workers will receive professional technical training.

The People Development Award at the IBJ 2025 Awards once again highlights the significance of Long An International Port’s establishment and its commitments in operation. The Port remains steadfast in its mission of development for people and the community, moving toward the goal of becoming an internationally recognized and chosen seaport in Vietnam.
