With the permission of the provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Association of Architects, on October 30 and 31, 2014, at the Reunification Hall, Long An Association of Architects hosted the 7th Architects General Meeting, term 2015 – 2020.
At the meeting, there were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nguyen – Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Dang Van Xuong – Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Mr. Le Ba Phuoc – Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Mr. Khuong Van Muoi – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association of Architects (VAA) and Chairman of HCMC’s AA, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thong, Vice Chairman of VAA and representatives from departments and organizations of provinces, cities and districts, representatives from HCMC’s AA and provinces in the Mekong delta and members of Long An’s AA.
At the meeting, all the delegates listened to the report of the Association’s activities during term 6 (2010 – 2015) and suggested guidelines for term 7 (2015 – 2020)
During the last term, Long An’s AA had played an important role in planning for construction, industrial, urban and rural residential areas in Long An province as well as to create architectural designs. The Association’s activities have gained trust from the authorities and citizens inside and outside the province.
Based on achievements and limitations’ remarks of the previous term, the Association has listed tasks to accomplish in the next term.
The General Meeting also voted Executive Committee of 9 members, among which, Mr. Luu Dinh Khan remain Chairman of Long An’s AA term 2015 – 2020 and two Vice Chairmen of the Association, Mr. Tran Kim Lan and Mr. Pham Ngoc Dung.
By accompanying the activities of Vietnam’s AA, especially Long An’s AA, Dong Tam Group has sponsored the aforementioned event as a confirmation to strengthen the relationship and support all the activities of the Association to grow.
