After the first 6 months of 2015, Dongtam Group announced an after tax profit of 152 billion VND, completing 69.1% of the annual target.

In the last 2015 Dongtam Corporation Annual General Shareholder’s Meeting, a number of basic targets were agreed upon, including a  net revenue target of 2,000 billion VND and an after tax profit of 220 billion VND.  

According to the semi annual report of 2015, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung – General Director of the company announced that Dongtam Group has achieved favorable results. In particular, total net revenue was 1,013 billion VND, 50.7% of the  annual target, a year-over-year growth of 86% and profit after tax was 152 billion VND, 69.1% of the annual target, a year-over-year increase of 408% .

The recovering real estate market during the first 6 months of 2015 has led to a rapid increase in domestic product consumption which resulted in a double increase in the demand for building materials . In satisfying market demand, the company has been investing in new production lines in order to renew and upgrade technology, diversify products’ designs and sizes, increase construction materials output and expand distribution channels. In addition, we have implemented reasonable sales policies and improved human resources policies that effectively contribute to our performance over the first 6 months of 2015.

With 46 years of experience in the Vietnamese Market, 20 consecutive years being awarded “High Quality Vietnamese Product” and an expanding branches, showrooms, partner stores and distributors nationwide, Dongtam continues to maintain a major domestic market share as well as expanding to other markets where customers are becoming more demanding in terms of product quality.

On 25 June 2015, following stage 1 of their business contract, Dongtam Corporation officially exported their first shipping containers of tiles to the Japanese market where an annual supply of 60.000m2 of tiles will be provided to a leading Japanese construction materials. This major achievement is a result of two-year of experimenting and studying Dongtam’s manufacturing processes and our product quality standards..

Besides key traditional products such as tiles, roof tiles, paint, ceramics, uPVC plastic doors, grout, tile adhesive, pilings, drainage and ceramic bathroom fixtures, Dongtam also achieved raw concrete production amounting to approximately 30,000m3, a year-over-year increase of 120%.

With positive market growth and the economic recovery, in order to meet an increasing demand in the construction materials and interior and exterior decoration industries, Executive Committee of Dongtam Group is presenting to the Board of Directors a project to invest in two building materials and interior and exterior decoration factories in Long An and Hai Duong provinces. These facilities will be equipped with modernized machines for high output capacity. 

Dongtam Group’s encouraging results in the first 6 months of the year indicate our capability in reaching 2015 business plan targets and achieve positive results in the coming years.
