With the objective of protecting the health of customers being prioritised, Dong Tam is proud to have researched and applied successfully anti-bacterial glaze on ceramic tiles, creating a breakthrough in the manufacture of the new product with features of protecting health of users and being environmentally friendly.
This is a type of tile that uses anti-bacterial nano materials mixed with ceramic raw materials and baked at high temperatures. The anti-bacterial coating is evenly spread on the surface of the tile therefore the anti-bacterial technology will be durable. After the anti-bacterial nano particles has been converted to ion, there will be a possibility of attacking different microbes, disabling all the functions of such cells, transcription… These ions are very strong compared to other negatively charged functional groups in bacterial cells. The main reaction that link has changed the structure of biological cells, making the bacterial cells ineffective. With the anti-bacterial nano particles, the anti-bacterial nano coating can attack and break down 650 different types of harmful bacteria, especially S.Typhi, E.Coli and B.Subtilis.
This technology has currently been applied to various designs of Dong Tam’s ceramic and granite tiles with different dimensions such as the granite coated tile 80×80, 60×60 or the ceramic wall tiles 30×60, ceramic paving tiles 30×30,… Now with the use of anti-bacterial ceramic and granite tiles, customers can be assured by the highly advanced technology that it will break down the different types of harmful bacteria, removing mold from surfaces and automatically decomposing toxic substances. This result has been approved by Ho Chi Minh City’s Pasteur Hospital with the anti-bacterial rate up to 99% after 24 hours of exposure. Besides protecting the consumers health, the product also has a special feature that prevents unwanted particles from sticking, makes the tiles easier to clean and is environmentally friendly, suitable for projects like hospitals, schools, resorts, villas and other public buildings like airports, gas stations…
