Mr. Tang Huu Phong, Editor-In-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, said at “Love Connection 4” Gala Night: “Quang Binh has been nearly paralyzed with some places inundated in almost 3 meters of flood water, various sections of Ho Chi Minh Highway have been submerged underwater, North-south railway traffic has been interrupted, many places isolated, terrible whirls kept coming….
Images of children popping out their heads from house roofs surrounded by flood water, men, women struggling against the nature rage to protect their property and life, images of austere faces, in tears for loss of relatives, hard-earned property suddenly swept away with water… have touched the hearts of millions of Vietnamese at home and abroad…”.

“Love Connection 4” Gala Night for the beloved Central region is neither the exclusive nor earliest program held at the time when all Vietnamese are with the Central region in heart, looking at ways to share heavy loss with flood victims.
However, the reputation built over past seasons and promptness of a “brand name” in charity work have won confidence, becoming a “connection point” for hearts of many artists, singers and audience far and wide – those who cannot visit the hardest-hit area themselves… According to the closing declaration, total collected funds amounted to VND 14.7 billion.
In an effort to support this meaningful charity activity, as well as join hands in helping the Central region, sharing the loss with flood victims, the leadership and personnel of Dong Tam Joint Stock Company have voluntarily deducted part of salary, business profit to sponsor 100 scholarships worth VND 200 million to students at flood-hit areas to overcome difficulties and keep going to school.
