Over the past few years, these events have become a company tradition illustrating Dong Tam’s beautiful corporate culture. At the opening of the Culture – Sports events, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung – General Director of Dong Tam Corporation said: “ This event brings the value of cultural spirit to all employees, strengthening their relationships and boosting loyalty to the company. This is also a great chance for everyone to meet up and build relationships and for the Board of Management and the upper management to show their care for employees’ social and physical well being.
The Sporting Event opened on the morning of 20th June 2015 at Dong Tam Group with participation of over 500 athletes and spectators from Dong Tam members and Joint Companies of Dong Tam Group. This event was organized with 8 different sporting activities comprised of badminton, football, tug of war, centipede races, smashing a ceramic pot while blindfolded, love ball kicking, cooking and performances. Thanks to the mild weather, all of the planned outdoor activities were carried out as scheduled and with high enthusiasm on the part of both athletes and spectators.
This year’s event was marked by new changes in organization, events, performances and competition results. While last year’s performances consisted of mostly dancing, this year the performances were diversified with many unique and creative ideas inspired by Dong Tam’s products and materials. However, the most surprising outcome of this year’s event was that Son Dong Tam’s football team of young skilled players defeated last year’s champion team Dong Tam Construction Material Production by a score of 8-2.
Furthermore, team competitions in the North and Central Regions comprised of many activities such as football, Vung Buoc Dong Tam, tug of war, love balloons and slow motion cycling. With a strong team spirit of cooperation, “Work hard, play hard”, the 2015 Culture & Sporting Events were carried out successfully as planned.
