The program is intended to raise people’s awareness of protecting sea and island sovereignty, working together toward the national borders, seas and islands, and sharing difficulties with islanders and naval soldiers who are around the clock defending the national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Besides meaningful and well-staged cultural performances in praise of border, sea, island, fatherland, the program also included an exchange with soldiers at the forefront of the country, which touched the hearts of audiences. Especially, the program presented the story of Compassion Class of the Senior Lieutenant – teacher Tran Binh Phuc – the border guard of Hon Chuoi Military Post, Ca Mau Province. Teacher Phuc’s class has 22 students from grade 1 to grade 8 including Khmer and Kinh children of families on the island. Despite of extreme difficulties, hardship and needy condition, Teacher Phuc still shares a strong love to his students. He said that his love for them is natural as breathing every day and cock crows every morning
Touched by the difficulties and hardship of Teacher Tran Binh Phuc and his students on the island, Dong Tam Group raised the fund of VND 20,000,000 to improve teaching conditions, cheering and motivating him to keep up with his work and guiding children to become good persons.
