In the morning of 29 October, at Cu Huy Can Senior High School, Vu Quang District (Ha Tinh), Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Youth Union of Ha Tinh Province jointly awarded the “Stop the Flow of Drop-outs” scholarships to 50 pupils.

Each grant of “Stop the Flow of Drop-outs” scholarship consists of VND 2 million in cash and gifts worth nearly VND 500,000. This scholarship belongs to the 437th “For Tomorrow’s Development” Program of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, sponsored by Dong Tam Joint Stock Company.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Toan – Principal of Cu Huy Can Senior High School – said that during the last flood, flood and rain water from Ngan Truoi River had risen up, inundating the entire school in over 1.5m depth. More than 620 pupils of the School had to suspend their schooling due to flood intervention.
Many pupils are in difficult situation, some are paternal orphans, some maternal orphans and a few double orphans. They had to struggle to make ends meet by themselves during the flood” Mr. Toan said, and he acknowledged his gratitude to Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the sponsors delivering the “Stop the Flow of Drop-outs” scholarships to help pupils return to their school after the flood.

In an effort to support fellow people in Central Vietnam heavily affected by the recent flood, on the next 04 November, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and representatives of the Sponsor – Dong Tam Joint Stock Company, will continue to award scholarships to pupils in Quang Binh Province, in order to encourage and help pupils in difficult situation to promptly get back to their stable life and schooling activities.
